Fan the Flame will be the theme of the first Couple’s Conference of the Eastern Region of the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America to be held September 5-7, 2008, at the Marriott Boston Newton Hotel picturesquely situated on the banks of the Charles River in Newton, Massachusetts.

Most relationships start with a spark that builds to a flame before marriage, but many then quickly die down to glowing embers. The goal for this weekend will be to add fuel to your marriage-fire, rekindling the flame that was once there and giving you the resources to continue to build your marriage into a raging inferno.

Get away for a weekend of outstanding worship and excellent teaching with plenty of time to relax and be pampered at the beautiful Boston Marriott along the Charles River in Newton, Massachusetts. Join with friends throughout the Eastern United States and Canada to learn from Drs. Paul & Virginia Friesen of Home Improvement Ministries about fanning the flames of our marriages and to worship under the leadership of Nancy Tutunjian Berger. Through worship, speaker sessions, discussion groups, a beautiful banquet, a talent show and time to relax with your spouse and with other couples, we hope this weekend will renew and refresh you as a couple. Plenty of free time is built in for resting, talking, or enjoying the beauty of Boston as fall approaches.

Testimonials

The Friesens are so easy to relate to - they are honest, candid, and funny! They have a passion to keep marriages healthy and strong by getting to the heart of the God’s Word in a very practical and challenging way.
—Greg & Laurel Sarian, Philadelphia, PA

Perhaps our most valuable insights about one another and greatest shifts toward a more biblical marriage have come from Paul & Virginia. Their teaching causes us to think more intentionally, understand each other with more sensitivity and to be led more spiritually—this after 17 years of marriage! We always return from their programs, re-energized and more deeply devoted to each other. Opportunities to attend their programs have become an investment in our marriage and family life that yields such great returns, that we feel we cannot afford to pass them up.
— Seth & Melanie Bilazarian, Andover, MA

Our marriages matter to God and Paul & Virginia have helped us see ourselves more clearly and graciously. They have helped us want to love each other and our children more and equipped us to do it—laughing all the way!
—Rev. Greg & Sossi Haroutunian, Belmont, MA
